Thyroid Tests We Offer

  • TSH — Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (the primary screening test)
  • Thyroid Profile I — T3, T4, TSH
  • Thyroid Profile II — FT3, FT4, TSH (free hormone levels)
  • Anti-TPO — thyroid antibody testing for autoimmune thyroid disease
  • Thyroid testing in pregnancy — as advised by your obstetrician
  • Thyroid monitoring for patients on thyroxine (Eltroxin/Thyronorm)

Thyroid profiles are also included in our full body checkup packages from ₹1,800 — worth considering if you're also checking sugar, vitamins or lipids. For a single-test price, message us on WhatsApp.

How to Prepare for a Thyroid Test

No fasting is needed for thyroid tests. A morning sample is preferred because TSH naturally varies through the day — and if you take thyroid medication, most doctors advise giving the sample before your morning tablet so results reflect your baseline. If you take biotin (a common hair-and-nail supplement), pause it for 2 days before testing, as it can interfere with thyroid results.

In pregnancy, thyroid ranges differ by trimester and testing is often advised early — follow your obstetrician's schedule, and mention the pregnancy while booking so the report is interpreted against the right reference range.

When Will I Get My Report?

Thyroid reports are delivered on WhatsApp the same day. If your doctor has asked for repeat testing after a dose change — typically after 6–8 weeks — we keep the process identical each time so your results stay comparable.

Why Test Your Thyroid at Krishna Diagnostics

Thyroid problems are common and commonly missed — unexplained weight change, tiredness, hair fall, irregular periods and feeling too cold or too hot are all classic signs worth checking. Our lab beside SBI Bank, Nizampet runs thyroid profiles on calibrated analysers with quality checks on every batch, all 7 days till 11 PM.

For patients on lifelong thyroxine, consistency is everything: same lab, same method, comparable numbers. With free home sample collection across Nizampet, Pragathi Nagar, Bachupally, Kukatpally, KPHB and Miyapur, your 6-weekly or yearly check is one WhatsApp message away.

FAQ

Thyroid Test Questions, Answered

Do I need fasting for a thyroid test?
No — thyroid tests need no fasting. A morning sample is preferred since TSH varies through the day, and if you take thyroid medication, give the sample before your morning tablet unless your doctor says otherwise.
What is the difference between Thyroid Profile I and II?
Profile I measures total T3, T4 and TSH. Profile II measures free T3 (FT3), free T4 (FT4) and TSH — the free hormone levels, which some doctors prefer because they aren't affected by protein levels in blood. Book whichever your prescription mentions; if unsure, send us the prescription on WhatsApp.
Which thyroid test should I do first?
TSH is the standard first screening test — if it's abnormal, your doctor usually follows up with a full profile (T3/T4 or FT3/FT4) and sometimes Anti-TPO antibodies. If you already have symptoms, many doctors order the full profile straight away.
Can a thyroid test be done at home?
Yes — all thyroid tests can be collected at home for free across Nizampet, Pragathi Nagar, Bachupally, Kukatpally, KPHB and Miyapur. Morning slots are ideal; see our home sample collection page to book.
